What a great Compilation!

Not before familiar with Beegie Adair, I am so pleased by this jazz sampler.
Every song is top notch quality, perfect high class jazz, and a blessing to the room it's playing in. The songs aren't jam sessions, they are works of art.
I look forward to listening to more from Beegie Adair.

Another jazz gem from Green Hill...

It's always good to find a decent jazz compilation, but this Green Hill Jazz Sampler one is exceptional for those who appreciate this genre. It features Beegie Adair and some friends, and each of these tracks is a pure musical gem. This sampler offers us the following tracks:

1. Alexander's Ragtime Band, featuring Beegie Adair on piano
2. Shine On Harvest Moon , featuring guitarist, bassist, and producer Jack Jezzro
3. A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody, featuring Beegie Adair on piano
4. Scarborough Fair, featuring the smooth trumpet work of Leif Shires
5. Avalon, featuring the orchestration prowess of the Jeff Steinberg Orchestra
6. You Made Me Love You (I Didn't Want to Do It), with Beegie Adair on piano & and vocals by Jaimee Paul
7. Midnight in Rio, featuring Jack Jezzro's jazz guitar
8. They Didn't Believe Me, with Beegie Adair performing a jazz classic
9. Room With a View, featuring Sam Levine on saxophone
10. Fascination Waltz, with Beegie Adair on piano and David Davidson on violin
11. Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home, a classic with Sam Levine on saxophone

The twelve tracks here are truly top notch, with some excellent and well seasoned jazz performers, and it was a stroke of production genius to build this album around Beegie Adair. For those unfamiliar with her work, this is a good place to start. Beegie Adair is a jazz pianist. She studied piano at Western Kentucky University and moved to Nashville, where she did graduate work at Peabody College. She later went on to form the Beegie Adair Trio, and that's where we find most of her best works.

But this is also a good introduction to each of the jazz artists on this sampler, and it's a really keeper, that for this listener will be listened to for many hours. Thank you to both Green Hill and Amazon for an excellent sampler, one of the smoothest and best free jazz compilations that I've found here.
